Grant Bramer Head Coach

Coach Grant Bramer and his wife moved to Oahu in 2019 to teach and coach swimming, bringing more than 20 years of coaching experience.  Coach Bramer teaches American History and is the Head Swimming & Diving Coach at Mililani High School.  As an athlete, Coach Bramer specialized in freestyle sprinting.  He medaled in multiple master’s Swimming State Championships in 19 - 25 age group.  He is working on getting back into competing in open water races and triathlons.

Martiza Segovia Assistant Coach

Coach Martiza Segovia grew up in Mililani, participating in YMCA swim lessons and later joined the Mililani YMCA Sharks swim team.  Her time with the Mililani YMCA fostered a passion for swimming and aquatics.  Looking for more competitive exposure and experiences, Coach Martiza later joined the Aloha Aquatics Association team, participating and competing for three years.  Coach Martiza is excited to give back to her local community and work with the next generation of swimmers.

Justin Lee Assistant Coach

Coach Justin moved to Hawaii in 2021 to teach mathematics at Wai’anae High School.  He grew up in Rancho Santa Fe, CA and has been swimming since he was six.  In addition to teaching mathematics, Coach Justin is the head wahine swimming and diving coach.  As a swimmer, he specialized in breaststroke and freestyle sprint events.

Maysa Segovia Assistant Coach

Coach Maysa Segovia grew up in Mililani, participating in swim lessons and swim team with the Mililani YMCA Shark Swim Team.  She later transitioned to the Aloha Aquatics Association (AAA) and has been a part of AAA ever since.  Coach Maysa has a focus on providing advanced technical work and is thrilled to help the up-and-coming swimmers achieve new goals in their swimming career.

Leilani Hernandez Assistant Coach

Coach Leilani "Lani" Hernandez has been a swimmer since day one!  She chose a different path from her family, who participated in various sports, such as: track and field, volleyball, soccer, and more.  Swimming has always been a part of Coach Lani's life, and she started her swimming career at age 11.  After developing a foundation with the Schofield Barracks Sharks Swim Team, she joined the Aloha Aquatics Association to become more of a competitive swimmer.

Taumana Caicedo Assistant Coach

Coach Taumana “Tau” Caicedo grew up on the north shore of Oahu and has been swimming nearly her entire life, joining her first swim team at age 8.  Coach Tau quickly fell in love with the sport and captained her high school swim team, the Waialua Bulldogs.  Her favorite stroke is butterfly, and her favorite race is the 200 IM!

Christina Partyka Assistant Coach North Shore

Coach Christina “Christie” Partyka moved to Hawaii in 2014 for work as a pediatric occupational therapist, living in Waialua on the north shore of Oahu with her husband.  Coach Christie was raised in Canada and discovered her love for swimming at an early age, also to include artistic synchronized swimming.  Coach Christie has participated in sports other than swimming, too, such as university ice hockey and soccer.  Coach Christie brings a high level of expertise in task-based progression.  She takes pride in breaking down complex skills into small steps in a progressive manner.

Abigail Helmick Assistant Coach North Shore

Coach Abigail “Abbi” Helmick and her husband moved to Hawaii from West Virginia in 2021.  They have two miniature schnauzers (George and June) and love to be outdoors.  She is a lifelong swimmer, starting at age 8, and hasn’t stopped swimming since!  Coach Abbi also enjoys running and training for triathlons.
