Urgent Swim Parent Volunteers Needed!
Dear Aloha Aquatics Swim Parents,
The swim community is in URGENT need of parent volunteer meet officials at all level meets, but especially for the lower level, BC and ABC meets. Each swim team is REQUIRED to have one trained volunteer official for each 15 swimmers. Timers do NOT count towards officials. Aloha Aquatics has 66 swimmers, and is therefore required to have FOUR trained officials.
We currently have only TWO officials, with one leaving in a few months. Parents please consider this opportunity to support your swimmer, your swim team, and give back to the swim community. You will be trained to call DQs on turns and starts, and will shadow an experienced official, for several meets, or until you are deemed qualifed to officiate on your own.
Attention Bronze, Silver, and Gold Aloha Aquatics swimmers:
Reminder: Aloha Aquatics offers additional training at the Technique and Stroke clinics on Tues/Thursdays at Rec II (4:00 - 4:45).
Clinics are currently offered only to Novice Bronze Swimmers.
Bronze practice is immediately following the clinics, at 4:45, so novice bronze swimmers are welcome to stay for their regular workouts.
