    Mission Statement

Aloha Aquatics is a community based nonprofit swim club operating under the rules and guidance of Hawaii Age Group Local Swim Committee and USA Swimming.  We are committed to building self-confidence, team spirit, and healthy body/mind/soul through competitive swimming.  Our program is both competitive and recreational.  We conduct swim practices at Recreation Centers I & II in the central Oahu community of Mililani.

For training purposes, swimmers are divided into three groups as follows:

Bronze – Novices.  Entry level swimmers who have already completed a learn-to-swim program or who can demonstrate basic swimming ability.  They concentrate on building correct strokes, muscle strength, and coordination.  Their goal is to establish base times and compete at Hawaii “A” level.

Silver – Competitive.  Swimmers with strong skills who concentrate on endurance and versatility.  Stroke, turns, and dive skills are fine-tuned during this phase.  Their goal is to compete on Hawaii “AA” level.

Gold – Advanced.  Swimmers who are attaining Hawaii “Qualifying” times.  They are competent in all facets of competitive swimming.  They set the role model for junior swimmers.  Their goal is to become elite swimmers competing at Zone, Sectional, and National levels.

The coaches use reoccurring swim practices as the primary tool to prepare swimmers for athletic competition.  The Board and parents provide logistical and moral  support to swim practices and swim competitions, and encourage swimmers to stay active in Aloha Aquatics’ program by hosting recreational activities, running incentive programs, holding fundraisers, scheduling travel to off-island meets, and organizing the annual awards banquet.
